U-23 national team coach warns Jens Raven about viral celebration

Gerald Vanenburg, Indonesia’s U-23 national team coach, has issued a warning to Jens Raven regarding the viral dance celebration performed by the 19-year-old player.

In yesterday’s opening match of Group A ASEAN Cup U-23 2025, Indonesia U-23 national team defeated Brunei Darussalam with a decisive 8-0 score — with Jens Raven contributing six goals.

The young striker performed the viral “pacu jalur” dance after scoring his fourth goal in the first half, which drew special attention from his coach.

“I made a promise to someone before the match to perform that viral dance,” revealed Jens Raven during the post-match press conference.

Despite his brilliant performance and earning the man of the match title, Raven stated he would not repeat the dance celebration in future matches.
