Tyler Shough agrees to $10.7 million contract with Saints

Tyler Shough has reached a contract agreement with the New Orleans Saints worth $10.795 million fully guaranteed, as confirmed by his agent Erik Burkhardt to ESPN.

The quarterback selected 40th overall from Louisville — will compete with Spencer Rattler for the starting quarterback position when training camp begins at the team’s facility in Metairie, Louisiana.

Shough becomes the first Saints second-round draft pick to receive a fully guaranteed contract — unlike 2024 draft pick Kool-Aid McKinstry who only received guarantees for his first three years. His contract structure also includes annual roster bonuses to be paid during the first week of training camp.

With this signing, the Saints have completed deals with all nine of their 2025 draft picks ahead of training camp under new head coach Kellen Moore.
