Two Red Sparks Players Named to Korean Volleyball League 2024-2025 Best 7

According to Bolasport.com, the Korean Volleyball Federation (KOVO) has announced the individual award winners for the 2024-2025 Korean Volleyball League season — with seven players and one coach selected as the Best 7.

Two Daejeon JungKwanJang Red Sparks players — Yeum Hye-seon as setter and Vanja Bukilic as outside hitter — earned spots on the prestigious list.

Gyselle Silva, the Cuban opposite hitter from GS Caltex Seoul KIXX, was named Best Opposite after outperforming Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi, who had a standout season.

The evaluation was based solely on regular season performance — leaving Megawati out of the Best 7 despite her key role in leading Red Sparks to the finals.

The selection reflects KOVO’s emphasis on consistent performance throughout the regular season rather than playoff success—which explains why some key players in the finals were not recognized individually.
