Two Persija Foreign Players Injured, Ryo Matsumura Faces Long Absence

Two foreign players of Persija Jakarta — Gustavo Almeida and Ryo Matsumura — are sidelined due to injuries.

“Gustavo Almeida will likely recover and return to normal in two weeks,” stated coach Mauricio Souza.

Ryo Matsumura suffered a hamstring injury during a training session last Monday.

“His thigh was strained and he injured his hamstring. I don’t know how long he needs to rest to recover fully,” explained Mauricio Souza.
