Indonesian and Malaysian football fans have found new heroes in Ole Romeny and Hector Hevel, two naturalized players who delivered standout performances in recent international fixtures.

Ole Romeny scored his second goal for the Indonesian National Team during the 2026 World Cup Qualifier match against Bahrain at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium. The 24-year-old striker — who had also scored on his debut versus Australia — was named Man of the Match for his efforts.

Meanwhile, on the same day, Hector Hevel made a strong debut for the Malaysian National Team in the 2027 Asian Cup Qualifiers. The 29-year-old midfielder opened the scoring in the 29th minute as Malaysia defeated Nepal 2–0 at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, Johor. Hevel’s performance was complemented by La’Vere Corbin-Ong, who added a second goal in the 70th minute.

These performances have ignited excitement and optimism among fans, as both players quickly become icons in their respective squads.
