Two Indonesian students conquer Red Bull challenge at Ibiza Castle

Gervasius Russell and Miryam Levina — two students from Bina Nusantara University Anggrek campus — successfully represented Indonesia in the Red Bull Ibiza Royale event held at Ibiza Castle, Spain, last week.

Indonesia became the only Southeast Asian country to send representatives after going through a rigorous selection process since January.

From 539 teams that registered through nine universities, 30 gyms, and Alfa-X outlet — only one team made it to the final round.

The series of challenges that participants had to overcome at Ibiza Castle included:

  • Happy Dungeon – navigating underground prison
  • Tricky Turntables – jumping on rotating tables
  • Stay in One Piece – crossing paths with moving swings
  • Five other challenges testing strength and balance

“This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we never expected before. We built new global connections through this event, something we will surely remember throughout our lives,” said Miryam.

Both participants underwent special training before departing to Ibiza to face the 1.4-kilometer challenge designed by the Red Bull Blue and Silver team.
