Two Indonesian Heritage Players Set to Meet in MLS Match

Week 21 of Major League Soccer (MLS) between FC Dallas and Los Angeles FC — scheduled for July 13, 2025 — could see a unique encounter between two players of Indonesian heritage.

Maarten Paes, currently FC Dallas’s goalkeeper, is set to face Adrian Wibowo — a young striker from Los Angeles FC who is working his way into Steve Cherundolo’s main squad.

Adrian Wibowo, the 19-year-old Los Angeles FC academy product, has shown impressive performance with LAFC 2 — recording 41 appearances with 14 goals and 9 assists.

His outstanding achievements with the reserve team have earned Wibowo regular inclusions in Los Angeles FC’s main squad — which also features star player Hugo Lloris.
