Tundra Esports Tops List for Blown Leads in Dota 2 2025

An interesting data compiled by esports statistician Ben Steenhuisen on X highlights Tundra Esports as a Dota 2 team that frequently loses games despite having a significant gold lead.

In his recent post, Ben explained that he and several analysts reviewed Dota 2 tournaments from early 2025 onward. Their goal was to identify teams that most often lose matches after building large gold advantages. And Tundra Esports emerged at the top of this list.

The data shows Tundra lost 28 out of 71 matches played so far this year after gaining a lead of over 5K gold, averaging on 5,029.9 gold. Tundra has even suffered defeats with much larger leads of over 10K and 15K gold.

Interestingly, Parivision – currently a fan favorite – also ranks near the top of this list. They’ve thrown many games from winning positions, despite often succeeding in crucial matches. This data serves as a clear reference point for the mentioned teams to improve their performance before upcoming major tournaments.
