The ESL One Raleigh 2025‘s underdog Tundra Esports defied expectations with a heroic comeback in today’s early morning upper bracket semifinal (11/4), overturning Parivision in a thrilling best-of-three series.

Parivision, one the tournament’s dark horse, captivating fans with a dominant Group A performance that saw them top the standings with an impressive 9-1 record. Meanwhile, Tundra Esports faced early struggles in Group B, narrowly securing second place after a challenging start in the group stage.

Given the stark contrast in their group-stage performances, ESL One Raleigh viewers heavily favored Parivision. However, those expectations were shattered as the series unfolded.

Game 1 saw Parivision dominate with ruthless efficiency, spearheaded by Alan “satanic” Gallyamov’s standout plays. The Ukrainian squad closed out the map in just 27 minutes, racking up a staggering 20-3 kill score.

Game 2 began similarly, with Parivision controlling the first 20 minutes. But as hope seemed lost for Tundra, the duo of Neta “33” Shapira and stand-in Remco “Crystallis” Arets rallied their team with patient, calculated plays. Capitalizing on a crucial team fight, Tundra turned the tide, sealing a hard-fought 36-minute victory.

The next decisive round turned into a huge surprise, as Tundra unleashed a masterclass. This time, Crystallis and Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon stole the spotlight with a devastating Anti-Mage and Tinker combo. Overwhelming Parivision in just 20 minutes, Tundra claimed a dominant 28-6 win to clinch the series.

Tundra advanced to the upper bracket final, where they will face Team Spirit—who earlier pulled off their own reverse sweep against Team Falcons. Both teams’ resilience sets the stage for an electrifying showdown tonight, promising to ignite the ESL One Raleigh arena.
