Tudor complains about weather conditions as Juventus loses to Real Madrid in Club World Cup

Coach Igor Tudor revealed serious challenges faced by Juventus during their 0-1 loss to Real Madrid in the FIFA Club World Cup round of 16 in Miami Gardens — ten of his players requested substitution due to extreme fatigue.

A lone goal from Gonzalo García in the second half secured Madrid’s victory, but Tudor highlighted difficult match conditions with temperatures reaching 88 degrees Fahrenheit — high humidity made it challenging for his players to perform at their best.

“The conditions were really difficult today. Ten players asked me to be replaced because they were really tired,” Tudor stated.

“There are many factors that contributed — it’s the end of a long season and great pressure on players drains their energy. The humidity made everything much more difficult.”

For Madrid, Kylian Mbappé returned to play for 23 minutes after being sidelined with acute gastroenteritis. Coach Xabi Alonso believes the French player’s condition will be much improved for the quarterfinal match in New Jersey.
