Tuchel speaks out about Bellingham’s emotions in England’s loss to Senegal

According to TalkSport, England manager Thomas Tuchel has addressed criticism of Jude Bellingham after the midfielder lost control during the shocking 3-1 defeat to Senegal at City Ground — England’s first loss to an African team.

Bellingham was seen heatedly arguing with officials after his equalizing goal was disallowed for handball, which could have made the score 2-2.

“I think he has something different. He brings an edge that we need to achieve big things. But it needs to be channeled properly — towards opponents, not to intimidate teammates or be aggressive towards referees,” said Tuchel.

The German coach revealed that even his own mother sometimes struggles to see Bellingham’s positive side:

“When he smiles, he wins everyone over. But sometimes you see the rage and fire in him come out in a way that can be repulsive. For example, for my mother when watching on TV.”

Bellingham had previously recorded a proud moment with England by scoring a spectacular overhead kick against Slovakia that saved The Three Lions in the Euro 2024 round of 16.
