According to F1.com, Yuki Tsunoda reveals the challenges in finding the right setup for the Red Bull RB21 — a process requiring a different approach from his experience with Racing Bulls.

The 24-year-old driver faced limited practice time in Suzuka due to various incidents — including Jack Doohan’s crash, Fernando Alonso’s beaching in the gravel, and grass fires causing red flags.

“A lot of learning I did, but most of the learning I had is too early stages to conclude. I’ve just done four, five sessions, almost four sessions because of lots of red flags,” Tsunoda stated.

“It feels like a science room with lots of chemicals where sometimes it goes good, sometimes it goes bad. I think it’s just natural, because jumping into a completely new car there is always this up and down.”

Ahead of the Bahrain GP, Tsunoda sets realistic targets — qualifying for Q3 and finishing in points positions to support his teammate Max Verstappen.

Red Bull recruited Tsunoda after four years with their junior team, Racing Bulls, replacing Liam Lawson who was demoted after two opening races of the 2025 season.
