Trump excludes Messi from his all-time best players list

United States President Donald Trump surprised many — by not including Lionel Messi in his list of all-time best players.

This decision draws attention considering Messi’s massive impact on US soccer — elevating MLS popularity to unprecedented levels since joining Inter Miami.

“The financial growth comes from increased ticket sales, record-breaking TV viewership, and significant surge in sponsorship deals,” according to World Soccer Talk report last February.

The 38-year-old player has contributed significantly to MLS’s 18 percent revenue growth — making it the fastest-growing league economically in North America.

This momentum aligns with next year’s World Cup preparations in USA, Mexico, and Canada, along with Inter Miami’s participation in the Club World Cup later this year.
