Trent Makes History with Single-Agent Mastery in VCT Americas

G2 Esports player Trent “Trent” Cairns has made himself known for his one-trick pony record during the VCT Americas 2025: Stage 1.

As an Initiator, Trent exclusively used the agent Tejo throughout the entire VCT Americas tournament. The 20-year-old player has maintained this strategy since the VCT Kickoff 2025 in February, never switching agents unless being instructed to do so.

According to VCT Americas statistics, Trent played 30 consecutive maps with Tejo, including the Grand Finale triumph against Sentinels, and suffered only 9 losses across all matches.

This achievement marks Trent as the first player in VCT Americas history to win a championship title while relying solely on a single agent from start to finish. This is particularly impressive, as agent draft in professional play usually depends heavily on team compositions and map layouts.

Trent and G2 will now compete in Masters Toronto, set to take place in June. Fans are eager to see if he will continue his one-trick strategy against top-tier teams or adapt to new challenges.
