Tran Thi Thanh Thuy claims two awards at AVC Nations Cup 2025

The AVC Nations Cup 2025 concluded today with seven individual awards — all presented to players from the top three teams.

Tran Thi Thanh Thuy from Vietnam proved her comeback after last year’s injury by claiming the best outside hitter title, while Angel Anne Canino from the Philippines was selected as the second-best outside hitter.

This achievement adds to Vietnam’s perfect run as tournament champions, followed by the Philippines as runners-up and Taiwan in third place.

The best opposite spiker title changed hands this time — after previously being held by Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi from Indonesia at the AVC Challenge Cup two years ago.
