Tour de Loksado 2025 ready to host 463 cyclists from across Indonesia

Tour de Loksado — a prestigious cycling race in South Kalimantan — will return next week as the region’s sports tourism icon.

The South Kalimantan Tourism Office and Shafwah Event Management are organizing this event running July 11-13, 2025 — carrying the theme “Bicycle, Nature and Culture” with a 176-kilometer route.

Cyclists will begin their journey from Banjarmasin’s 0 KM point — crossing 2 cities and 4 districts before finishing in Loksado, South Hulu Sungai Regency.

The event has attracted 463 participants from various regions of Indonesia who will compete in six categories:

• Junior U-19
• Master A
• Master B
• Master C
• Men Elite
• Women Open

The competition is divided into two stages — a cycling tour from Banjarmasin to Kandangan and a class-based race from Kandangan to Loksado.

“This sports tourism event aims to elevate South Kalimantan’s tourism potential through sports, while promoting areas with captivating natural scenery and rich local culture,” said H. Muhammad Syarifuddin, M.Pd., Regional Secretary of South Kalimantan Province.
