Tottenham Hotspur secured a crucial 3-1 victory over Bodø/Glimt in the first leg of the 2024/2025 Europa League semifinals at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday night.

Under the guidance of Ange Postecoglou, Spurs took control from the first whistle, scoring the opening goal just 39 seconds in through Brennan Johnson, assisted by Richarlison.

James Maddison doubled the lead with a brilliant finish, and Dominic Solanke sealed the third goal from the penalty spot in the second half.

Despite missing key players like Patrick Berg, Håkon Evjen, and Andreas Helmersen due to yellow card accumulations, the visitors Bodø/Glimt managed to pull one back through captain Ulrik Saltnes in the 83rd minute, keeping their hopes alive for the second leg in Norway next week.

Tottenham received concerning news as James Maddison and Dominic Solanke were forced off due to injuries, adding to the list of absentees including Lucas Bergvall and Son Heung-Min.
