Tottenham Hotspur officially signs Japanese defender Kota Takai

According to BBC Sport, Kota Takai – the talented young Japanese defender – will soon join Tottenham Hotspur for a transfer fee of 5 million pounds from Kawasaki Frontale.

The 20-year-old player standing at 192 cm will strengthen the Europa League 2024-2025 champions starting next July – joining the defensive line already reinforced by:

  • Cristian Romero
  • Micky van de Ven
  • Kevin Danso
  • Radu Dragusin

Tottenham’s decision to bring in the Yokohama-born defender stems from his impressive performances with both club and national team – including his recent display in containing Ole Romeny’s attacks when facing the Indonesian national team.
