Tottenham Hotspur agree permanent deal for Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich

According to ESPN, Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich for the permanent transfer of Mathys Tel — the French U-21 international.

After joining on loan in January, Spurs managed to negotiate down the transfer fee from €60 million to €40 million including bonuses — a deal beneficial for both clubs.

The Paris-born striker will sign a contract until June 2031 — becoming the first recruitment under manager Thomas Frank. During his loan spell, Tel recorded three goals and one assist from 20 appearances across all competitions.

Bayern Munich previously signed Tel from Rennes in 2022 for €30 million — the club where he started his professional career and made his Ligue 1 debut at age 16.
