Topson Says He’s Not Going Back to Professional Dota 2 Scene

Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen, who recently surprised the global Dota 2 community with his old account, has stated he is done with professional Dota 2 esports for good.

Although he returned to playing Dota after completing his mandatory military service and competed at an amateur level, he briefly said during a Twitch livestream that he isn’t interested in offers from any teams. He emphasized that his career as a pro player ended when he last left Tundra Esports.

He also denied rumors that he might stand in for any teams in matches before The International 2025. However, he has mentioned he might appear as talent at major events if needed.

As one of the world’s best Dota players, this is definitely came as sad news for fans hoping to see him return to top-level circuit. But considering his incredible achievements over the past few years, it’s understandable that the 27-year-old Finnish player wants to focus on his family’s future.
