Title Unification: Masaaki Noiri Challenges Superbon at ONE 173 Tokyo

According to ONE Championship’s announcement, the featherweight kickboxing title unification bout has been officially revealed during a press conference in Tokyo.

Masaaki Noiri and Superbon Singha Mawynn — two elite featherweight fighters — will meet in the main event of ONE 173 scheduled to take place at Ariake Arena, Tokyo on November 16.

“We have two of the best pound-for-pound strikers on the planet facing off in the main event. Masaaki Noiri versus Superbon, interim world champion versus current world champion. I predict this fight will end in a spectacular KO,” stated Chatri Sityodtong, Chairman and CEO of ONE Championship.

Masaaki Noiri — who claimed the interim belt after defeating Tawanchai PK Saenchai via TKO in the third round at ONE 172 Saitama about three months ago — acknowledges his opponent’s quality.

“I think Superbon is a great athlete,” said the 32-year-old interim champion.
