Tijjani Reijnders chooses Man City for trophies despite love for Milan

Tijjani Reijnders – the Maluku-blooded midfielder who just left AC Milan for Manchester City – reveals the motivation behind his move.

During his two seasons wearing the Rossoneri jersey, the player recruited from AZ Alkmaar recorded an impressive performance – totaling 19 goals and 9 assists in 104 appearances across various competitions.

His final season with Milan proved most productive – the player who is the elder brother of Eliano Reijnders contributed 15 goals and 8 assists.

Despite recently extending his contract with Milan until 2030, Reijnders chose to join Man City for a transfer fee of 70 million euros – a decision made to open greater opportunities for winning trophies.

“I will always love Milan, but Man City opens a faster path to winning trophies,” states Reijnders.
