Tight Schedule: Vanenburg Just Started Training Indonesia U-23 Team

According to Aseanutdfc.com, Gerald Vanenburg has just started his duties coaching Indonesia U-23 national team — despite being appointed in January alongside Patrick Kluivert who handles the senior team.

The Dutch coach missed two international break opportunities in March and June — making team preparation for ASEAN Cup U-23 2025 notably brief.

“I’ve been employed as Indonesia U-23 coach since January, but we’re only able to train together now. So I finally get to meet the players I’ve selected,” Vanenburg stated.

The Young Garuda now only has three weeks to prepare before the tournament begins in mid-July.
