Three YouTubers arrested after classic F1 car incident at Silverstone

According to Northamptonshire Police reports, three prominent YouTubers — Morgan Burtwistle (AngryGinge), Charlie Clark (Chazza), and Samuel Imie (SamHam) — were arrested at Silverstone Circuit during the British Grand Prix weekend.

The incident occurred when a classic BWT Racing Point F1 car on display sustained damage — with estimated losses reaching tens of thousands of pounds sterling.

“We received a report that a classic Formula 1 car displayed at Silverstone Circuit had sustained damage after someone accessed the display area and entered the vehicle,” stated a Northamptonshire Police spokesperson.

The three content creators, aged 23, 25, and 27, were detained for 15 hours before being released without charges following a thorough investigation.

“They locked us up just for sitting in a car — they even detained SamHam who was only watching someone else sit in the car,” Burtwistle said in his YouTube vlog.

On the track itself, the rain-affected race was won by home driver Lando Norris from McLaren, followed by Oscar Piastri in second despite a 10-second penalty, while Sauber’s Nico Hulkenberg secured his first F1 podium in third position.
