Three teams in World Cup 2026 Qualifiers Group B changed their coaches

According to today’s draw at AFC headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Indonesia national team joins Group B alongside Saudi Arabia and Iraq for the fourth round of 2026 World Cup Asian Qualifiers.

The three teams set to compete this October share a unique record — they all underwent coaching changes during the third round of qualifications.

Roberto Mancini became the first coach to leave his position — the Italian specialist was dismissed from Saudi Arabia national team after failing to secure victories last October.

While meetings between these three teams aren’t unprecedented, the matches scheduled for October 8-14, 2025 will serve as proving grounds for their new coaches.
