Three Persib goalkeepers called up to Indonesia U-23 national team

According to PERSIB.co.id, five Persib Bandung players have received the opportunity to join Indonesia U-23 national team for ASEAN Cup 2025 and AFC U-23 Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers preparation.

Three young goalkeepers from Maung Bandung — Muhammad Rhaka Syafaka Bilhuda, Fitrah Maulana Muhammad Ridwan, and Putra Sheva Sanggasi — are included in coach Gerald Vanenburg’s player list.

Fitrah and Putra Sheva — who were promoted to the first team last season — haven’t received many playing opportunities. Meanwhile, Rhaka Syafaka showed impressive performance with Persib U-18 in last year’s Elite Pro Academy competition.

Calling up three goalkeepers from one club represents an unusual decision from the coaching staff in preparing the Indonesia U-23 national team squad.
