Three New Players Join Indonesia National Team Camp in Bali, Seven Still Absent

Indonesia’s national team preparations for upcoming international fixtures continue to progress steadily. As reported by Tribun Bali — three additional players have officially joined the training camp (TC) at the Bali United Training Center in Gianyar.

The latest arrivals — Justin Hubner, Calvin Verdonk, and Beckham Putra — participated in Monday’s (May 27) training session. With their inclusion, the number of active players in camp has now reached 25. Under the guidance of head coach Patrick Kluivert, the team is still awaiting the arrival of seven more players to complete the squad.

Seven Players Yet to Arrive

The following players have yet to join the camp:

  • Jay Idzes

  • Mees Hilgers

  • Kevin Diks

  • Maarten Paes

  • Sandy Walsh

  • Jordi Amat

  • Eliano Reijnders

All seven are diaspora players and are expected to arrive in the coming days, just as the national team enters a critical phase of its preparation.

Beckham Replaces Injured Septian Bagaskara

Among the 32 players called up to the training camp, Beckham Putra of Persib Bandung, stands out as a replacement for Septian Bagaskara, who was forced to withdraw due to injury.

Beckham’s presence in midfield is expected to add depth to the squad and offer Kluivert greater tactical flexibility, especially as the team prepares to face strong opponents in the upcoming qualifiers.

Focus Shifts to World Cup Qualification

The training camp in Bali marks a crucial step in forming a cohesive team ahead of the FIFA World Cup qualification matches. With limited preparation time and a demanding schedule, Kluivert and his coaching staff are maximizing each training session to ensure peak performance.

The addition of diaspora players like Hubner and Verdonk not only enhances the team’s technical quality but also brings valuable experience and a competitive mentality from European football—assets that will be essential in high-intensity qualification matches.

With the arrival of these three new players, who bring a mix of youthful energy, international exposure, and creative potential, the “Garuda squad” is showing promising signs as it builds a competitive team ready to take on the challenge of World Cup qualification.
