Three Indonesian national team players ready to compete in Championship next season

Following Nathan Tjoe-A-On’s release from Swansea City, next season’s Championship will still feature three Indonesian national team players — Ole Romeny and Marselino Ferdinan representing Oxford United, along with Elkan Baggott from Ipswich Town.

Oxford United, now under Indonesian ownership, has arranged an interesting preseason schedule — the club will participate in the 2025 President’s Cup before continuing preparation in Europe with matches against Mansfield Town, Bristol Rovers, and CD Leganes.

Meanwhile, Ipswich Town — a club recently relegated from the Premier League — has chosen to focus on facing Scottish and French League clubs during their preseason preparation.

The U’s will enter their second Championship season after promotion from League One — unlike Ipswich Town who must restart their journey in the second division after relegation from England’s top-flight football.
