Three Indonesian men’s doubles pairs advance to Swiss Open 2025 round of 16

Three Indonesian men’s doubles pairs — Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana and Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfafahani — have advanced to the round of 16 at the Swiss Open 2025 in St. Jakobshalle.

Leo/Bagas match ended early when the German pair — David Eckerlin/Simon Krax, was forced to retire at 16-11 in the first game due to a knee injury sustained by one of the players.

“This isn’t how we wanted to win. We’re not sure exactly what happened, but whatever it is, we wish the German player a quick recovery,” stated Leo in an official PBSI release.

“The positive side is we could save energy and have more recovery time. However, we’ll use this time for training to maintain our condition and performance,” he added.
