Thomas Partey set to leave Arsenal after contract expires

According to ESPN, Thomas Partey is confirmed to leave Arsenal — after contract extension negotiations have reached a complete deadlock.

The Ghanaian midfielder — whose contract expires at the end of June — will not sign a new deal with Mikel Arteta’s team.

Several clubs have shown interest in the 32-year-old player:

• Multiple Turkish League clubs
• Barcelona

Partey joined Arsenal five years ago from Atletico Madrid and became a key figure in Arteta’s playing scheme — which helped the Gunners compete for the title. During his career at Emirates Stadium, he has made over 160 appearances and scored nine goals.
