The defeat marks the end of Mueller’s career at Bayern Munich — the club he has served for 25 years. The announcement of the veteran midfielder’s contract termination was made by the club about three months ago.

“Despite limited playing opportunities, I still enjoy every moment on the field with teammates and fighting for this jersey,” expressed the 35-year-old player.
