Thomas Mueller Bids Farewell to Bayern Munich After 25 Years

According to Bundesliga, Thomas Mueller officially ends his 25-year journey with Bayern Munich as his contract expires in July 2025. The 35-year-old received a short-term contract extension to participate in the 2025 Club World Cup.

Mueller shared a farewell video through his personal Instagram account — showcasing his final moments at the club’s training ground and locker room.

“Hey friends, this is my last goodbye to my training ground, last goodbye to my locker room. It’s been an honor and pleasure to serve Bayern and now it’s time for a new chapter in my life,” Mueller expressed in his video.

During his career with Die Roten, Mueller achieved remarkable statistics — appearing in 844 matches while scoring 292 goals and providing 281 assists, collecting 33 trophies.

FC Cincinnati from Major League Soccer has extended an offer to Mueller — however, the German veteran is still considering his future and hasn’t ruled out retirement if he doesn’t find the right option.
