Thomas Frank ready to face new challenge as Tottenham manager

Thomas Frank has officially joined Tottenham as new manager on a three-year contract — replacing Ange Postecoglou who delivered the Europa League trophy last May.

The 51-year-old coach joked about his move from Brentford to Tottenham:

“I like to challenge myself. I’ve never been sacked before, so that’s one of the reasons I took this job — to get a bit more risk in my daily life!”

After seven successful years with Brentford — leading the club to promotion and establishing them in the Premier League, Frank will start his new era with a friendly match against Reading this Saturday.

In his discussions with Chairman Daniel Levy, CEO Vinai Venkatesham, and Technical Director Johan Lange, Frank affirmed his confidence about the club’s long-term vision. Regarding the future of Son Heung-Min and Cristian Romero, Frank hasn’t decided on team captain yet but indicated both will remain with the club.
