Thomas Frank Faces Tough Schedule at Start of Tottenham Tenure

Thomas Frank begins his new era as Tottenham manager with a home fixture against promoted Burnley — before facing a tough challenge against Manchester City in the second week.

The first London derby of the season will be played against Chelsea at home on November 1, followed by a match against Manchester United a week later. The inaugural North London derby against Arsenal will be held at Emirates Stadium on November 22.

A busy Christmas period awaits with three away fixtures:

• Against his former club Brentford on December 6
• Visiting Nottingham Forest’s ground on December 13
• Facing Liverpool at Anfield on December 20

The second North London derby will be played at home on February 21. Tottenham who finished 17th last season will end their campaign with a difficult run of fixtures — facing Aston Villa, Leeds United, Chelsea, and Everton in May.
