Thailand U-23 national team aims to claim the ASEAN Cup U-23 2025 championship title in Indonesia — a target that emerged following their defeat in the previous edition.

Two years ago, Thailand U-23 National Team failed to capitalize on home advantage — they fell in the semifinal round against Indonesia with a score of 1-3.

The defeat became a dark record as Thailand’s goal was breached through:

  • Goal from Muhammad Ferarri
  • Own goal by Natcha Promsomboon

In preparation for this tournament, Football Association of Thailand (FAT) has made a coaching change — Takayuki Nishigaya was replaced by local coach Thawatchai Damrong-Ongtrakul after a series of disappointing results.
