Danuphon Buppha — Thailand’s U-17 national team captain — is ready to lead his team in the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup, as reported by AFC.com.

The War Elephants squad is drawn in Group A — alongside hosts Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, and China — with the young defensive midfielder as their on-field leader.

Danuphon’s motivation stems from his father’s story — a former footballer who had to end his career early due to economic hardship.

“My father was a footballer, but he had to stop playing. He wanted me to follow in his footsteps and I love it too,” said Danuphon.
