TenZ Makes Surprise Return to Valorant Esports with Cubert Academy

Following his recent retirement announcement, Tyson “TenZ” Ngo of Sentinels has made a surprising comeback to competition, joining the Valorant roster of Cubert Academy for the ongoing VCT Challengers NA 2025: Stage 2 tournament.

Cubert Academy, Sentinels’ official second division launched in late 2024, aims to nurture emerging talent and prepare players for Tier 1 competition. Despite being a new team, they’ve shown impressive strength in the Challengers circuit, securing a top-15 ranking in North America with consistently solid performances.

Though temporary, TenZ’s involvement underscores Sentinels’ commitment to supporting their academy system while maintaining ties with the legendary player. Valorant fans are eagerly anticipating his appearance as Cubert Academy advances to the Stage 2 Challengers playoffs.

This decision came after Cubert Academy’s star controller, Logan “skuba” Jenkins, departed to join NRG. While the team had options to field younger players, they opted to bolster their roster by signing TenZ for an indefinite period.
