Tee Kai Wun responds wisely to crowd reactions at Indonesia Open

Malaysian badminton doubles player Tee Kai Wun has given a wise response regarding crowd reactions he received with Man Wei Chong during the Indonesia Open 2025 semifinals at Istora Senayan, Jakarta.

The world’s seventh-ranked pair — had to acknowledge the superiority of home representatives Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi with a score of 21-18, 12-21, 21-18.

“I don’t consider it a major issue. The home supporters were probably just trying to support their players by mentally disturbing our focus,” said Tee Kai Wun.

“This is our first experience receiving such reactions. Although extraordinary, this can be a learning experience for us to handle better in the future,” he added.

The Malaysian player concluded that the cheering — is part of playing in front of spectators who passionately support their favorite team.
