Team Vitality Acquires Bigetron Esports in Indonesia

A major announcement has emerged from Bigetron’s camp in Indonesia, revealing that the organization will now operate under the umbrella of French esports powerhouse Team Vitality.

In a social media post last night (15/5), Bigetron CEO Edwin “Starlest” Chia confirmed that the team will continue its operations in Indonesia and participate in scheduled competitions as usual. Moving forward, the organization will adopt the name Bigetron by Vitality to maintain its established reputation in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

“Today, I am proud to announce that Bigetron Esports has officially joined Team Vitality! Our journey will continue under the name Bigetron by Vitality, combining Team Vitality’s global strength with Bigetron’s dominance in Southeast Asia’s mobile esports scene.

Bigetron will remain headquartered in Jakarta with Indonesian management. The Bigetron brand will persist and grow even stronger. For national tournaments, we will compete as Bigetron by Vitality, while at the Esports World Cup 2025, we will represent Team Vitality.”

Notably since 2019, Bigetron has built a strong legacy in mobile esports, consistently showing up in tournaments like PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, and Honor of Kings. Their strong performance in both regional and international competitions makes Team Vitality’s acquisition a strategic move to boost their chances at Esports World Cup 2025.

Notably, this isn’t Vitality’s first collaboration with Bigetron. In May 2024, they acquired Bigetron’s Era squad. At the time, Starlest hinted that Vitality’s ownership had expressed interest in expanding their partnership with other divisions of the Indonesian organization.
