Team Secret’s Trial with Stormstormer Sparks Fan Debate

A leaked roster of trial players for Team Secret has ignited a fiery debate across social media, with fans questioning the organisation’s strategy to revitalize its Dota 2 roster. One notable highlight is the potential recruitment of Daniel “Stormstormer” Schetzau to fill the position 2 role.

According to recent data, captain Clement “Puppey” Ivanov has picked four trial candidates: Stormstormer, Altanginj “423” Bilguun, Ivan “Kidaro” Bondarev, and Tamir “daze” Tokpanov. But the selection of Stormstormer, in particular, has raised eyebrows.

Fans argue that the German player is only good enough to compete in Tier 2 scenes. Additionally, they highlighted his past performance, which reportedly frustrated fellow European pro player Gleb “Kiyotaka” Zyryanov.

It was said that Kiyotaka once berated Stormstormer for playing poorly when they were teammates several seasons ago. He felt Stormstormer’s gameplay was subpar for a midlaner who had previously been part of professional teams.

However, there is still a possibility that Secret’s current squad will undergo changes if results fail to meet Puppey’s expectations. Previously, the team experimented with Cedric “Davai Lama” Deckmyn, Stefan “Ulnit” Gavrila, and Yap “xNova” Jian Wei, but none of them secured contracts.
