Team Liquid ID Reportedly Targeting Import for the Next Season

Team Liquid ID, who finished 5th/6th in the recently concluded MPL ID Season 15, is reportedly planning a roster overhaul to strengthen their lineup before Season 16 starts in the next few months.

These rumors began following their disappointing performance in both the group stage and playoffs of Season 15. As the defending champions, the Black Horse played inconsistently and failed to repeat their strong performance from Season 14.

Talk of a shake-up grew louder when several players from the squad were linked to Season 16 transfer rumors. One key name is star jungler Favian “Faviannn” Putra, who is reportedly wanted by other major teams, including others from outside Indonesia.

Although nothing is confirmed yet, losing Faviannn would be a serious blow for TLID, as he’s widely considered as a crucial player for the team. Finding a replacement of his caliber will be difficult without early preparation.

Therefore, TLID is already evaluating several replacement options during this offseason break. Some familiar names within MPL ID have been reported, as well as potential imports – likely from the MPL PH scene. Given their connection to their sister team, Team Liquid PH, such move definitely not out of their reach.

TLID’s records also show they aren’t hesitant when it comes to Filipino talents. Back then, they shocked the MLBB community with the signing of world champion Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera while still known as Aura Fire (and when TLPH was Echo PH under the same management).
