Team Liquid ID and Bigetron Bow Out of MPL ID Season 15 Knockout

Team Liquid ID and Bigetron saw their MPL Indonesia Season 15 title hopes end prematurely in tonight’s knockout stage at the Jakarta International Velodrome.

Both teams delivered surprising performances during the Regular Season, though with contrasting outcomes: Defending champions TLID faltered in the last few weeks, while Bigetron remained solid despite some snags in several top-tier games.

Unfortunately, their opponents, Onic ID and Alter Ego, successfully maintained the positive momentum built since the final week of Regular Season. Onic ID, bolstered by the return of head coach Paul “Yeb” Denver, re-emerged as a formidable threat, while Alter Ego has been known for their surprise clutch.

Onic ID stunned TLID with a new strategy centered around Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol’s Kaja, securing two swift victories, especially the shocking 12 minutes assault in Game 1.

Although TLID fought back with disciplined play to take Game 3, it was not enough as the Yellow Porcupines eventually sealed the series 3-1 in Game 4, dominated by the duo of Kairi and Gilang “Sanz”.

On the other side, fan-favorite Bigetron put up a fiercely resilient fight against Alter Ego in the first two games. However, the Red Robots committed critical tactical blunder over the next three rounds by leaving the Baxia-Franco duo available for Alter Ego twice consecutively. Within a short period of time, their rival leveled the series 2-2.

Bigetron’s jungler, Eman “Emann” Sangco, attempted to win the decider with Barats, but Alter Ego’s Dalvin “Hijumee” Putra and Arifudin “Arfy” Dingarai were simply unstoppable. After less than 13 minutes in the final game, Bigetron conceded with a final kill score of 3-13.

The final results set Onic ID against Geek Fam in tomorrow’s (12/06) next round, while Alter Ego face RRQ Hoshi in the second match, a clash expected to ignite fierce passion between the teams’ ardent fanbases.
