Team Liquid ID Head Coach Reveals Key Reason Behind MPL ID Loss Against Onic

Team Liquid ID’s head coach Doly “SaintDeLucaz” Sihotang recently explained why his team lost to Onic ID in yesterday’s (June 11) quarterfinals of MPL ID Season 15.

Entering the competition as the reigning champions, TLID had an inconsistent run since the early weeks of the Regular Season and almost got eliminated. Many felt they were saved only because three other teams—Evos, Dewa Esports, and NAVI—did worse this season.

This worried fans who compared their team’s play to Onic ID, who saw improvement since the start of Regular Season’s second half. The gap became clear in yesterday’s one-sided match as TLID only managed to delay their loss in Game 3.

The 1-3 defeat sparked speculation that TLID’s players were burned out after last season. However, SaintDeLucaz denied this, saying the loss was simply due to failing to adapt to the latest competition patch.

“Our mistake was not making the most of what we had early on, and not fully utilizing the current patch.”

Despite the elimination from MPL ID S15, TLID’s squad must maintain their form for important upcoming events: representing Indonesia at the 2025 SEA Games and IESF 2025.
