Team Liquid ID’s exp laner Aldhia “Aran” Aranda shared his thoughts on the sharp decline of Onic ID, who are currently fighting to escape the elimination zone in MLBB Pro League Indonesia Season 15.

Via GGWP, Aran commented on Onic ID’s composition, which they defeated on the final day of Week 4 of MPL ID S15 (April 20th). He argued that Onic ID is still struggling to find a suitable replacement for their senior exp laner, Muhammad “Butss” Sanubari, who left the team in mid-2023.

“The biggest factor (in Onic’s decline) is likely their exp laner. I think when Butss left, they haven’t found a replacement that clicks with the squad,” he explained.

The numbers back his claim. Butss anchored Onic ID’s historic Quadruple from MPL ID S10 to S13 — the longest championship streak in MPL history, which remains unmatched. After leaving the MPL, Butss retired from professional MLBB competitions and joined Onic Honor of Kings squad as captain.

However, Team Liquid ID’s current situation isn’t much better than The Yellow Porcupine. They are only one point ahead of 7th-place Onic ID and will need new strategies moving forward.
