The owner of Team Falcons has clarified the transfer fee for their new young star, Maksim “kyousuke” Lukin, who recently joined from Team Spirit’s academy team.

The 17-year-old Russian player had already caught the attention of the CS2 community before joining Falcons, thanks to his consistent performances in big matches. His name then exploded as a trending topic as he was rumored to be the team’s second most expensive signing ever, after Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov.

Some rumors claimed kyou’s transfer fee reached millions of dollars, with the latest estimate around $2 million. However, these rumors were quickly denied by Mossad “Msdossary” Aldossary, the owner of the Saudi Arabia-based team. He admitted the fee was significant but not as huge as reported online.

“Thanks for sharing the announcement. However the buyout rumors isn’t correct. The buyout was big but not close to what you mentioned.”

Kyou will replace his senior teammate, Emil “Magisk” Reif, who stepped down to an inactive position. He will make his debut at the Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2025, starting on July 24th.
