Talon Esports’ Coach Addresses Heated VCT Pacific Drama

Talon Esports’ Valorant squad head coach, Hector “Frost” Rosario, has commented on his curt demeanor toward DRX’s head coach, Seon-ho “Termi” Pyeon, during their matchup in the lower bracket quarterfinals of VCT Pacific 2025: Stage 1 last Sunday (4/5).

During the post-match press conference for the VCT Pacific, Frost was asked about the incident and confirmed rumors of a serious ongoing issue between him and Termi. However, he did not explicitly mention the alleged leak of scrim footage circulating on social media.

“yeah, I mean, there is a real smoke there (with termi). So, I am surprised that everyone is surprised because, you know, we’ve already been through this. There’s a real stuff between us that is not going away.” he stated.

Amid the tension, the American coach acknowledged a silver lining to the controversy: increased visibility for the VCT Pacific. He mentioned that friends in Europe and North America had taken notice of the incident and expressed hope that such attention would boost the popularity of VCT in Asia.

The drama has divided the global Valorant community into two: some believe Frost’s harsh stance is justified due to alleged ethical breaches by his counterpart, while others argue his accusations are baseless and criticize his inability to adapt his conduct to an environment culturally distinct from his home country.
