Takeru Segawa challenges Rodtang for revenge fight in ONE Championship

ONE Championship fighter Takeru Segawa has officially challenged Rodtang Jitmuangnon for a revenge match — the statement was made during the ONE 173 press conference in Tokyo.

“ONE Championship has helped me decide to continue fighting. I want revenge against Rodtang, so this fight is what I’m thinking about now,” Takeru stated.

The 33-year-old former three-division K-1 champion expressed his readiness to fight in any format — including bare-handed combat to get his chance at redemption.

“I’ve seen Rodtang make some comments on social media that he’s ready and I’ve heard from some people at ONE Championship that boxing might be a good idea, or open gloves or bare hands,” Takeru added.

This challenge comes after Takeru suffered a defeat within 80 seconds against Rodtang at ONE 172 event about three months ago.
