Świątek Makes History with Double-Bagel Wimbledon Final Win

Iga Świątek delivered a flawless performance to win her first Wimbledon title, crushing Amanda Anisimova 6-0, 6-0 in a historic women’s final on Sunday.

The Polish world No. 1 needed just 45 minutes to complete the tournament’s first “double-bagel” final since 1911 — marking one of the most dominant displays in Grand Slam history. The win gives Świątek her sixth major title and her first on grass, making her the latest player to win Slams on all three surfaces.

“I’ve worked hard to adapt to grass — winning like this is surreal,” Świątek said after the match.

Anisimova, in her first Slam final, couldn’t find answers to Świątek’s relentless pace and precision.

“Iga was too strong today,” she admitted.

The result cements Świątek’s position at the top of the women’s game and signals the dawn of a true all-surface era for the 23-year-old champion.
