BANDUNGStefano Cugurra, known as Teco, announced his resignation as head coach of Bali United following a 1-2 defeat to Persib Bandung at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium. This decision ends his tenure, which began in 2019, during which he led the team to two Liga 1 titles in 2019 and 2021.

In the match, Bali United initially took the lead through Irfan Jaya‘s goal in the 23rd minute. However, the hosts turned the game around with second-half goals from Beckham Putra and Gustavo Franca.

“I want to inform Bali United supporters that I have had responsibilities since first arriving at Bali United in 2019. As a coach, I am responsible for wins, draws, or losses up until tonight’s match against Persib,” said Teco.

“Previously, I had discussed with management that my duties would end this year, and for the remaining five matches, I want to give my best for Bali United while management can prepare to find a new coach for next season,” he added.

Teco‘s resignation comes amid a challenging season for Bali United, who have struggled to maintain consistent form. His departure marks the end of a significant era for the club, and the management now faces the task of finding a suitable replacement to lead the team forward.
