Stanway: England must return to their traditional football roots

Georgia Stanway asserts that England national team must shift from words to concrete actions ahead of their crucial match against Netherlands at Euro 2025.

The 2-1 defeat to France last weekend — has put the Euro 2022 champions and 2023 World Cup finalists in a difficult position to advance to the next round.

“I’m tired of talking. Now it’s time to focus and make things right on the pitch,” Stanway stated firmly.

The England midfielder emphasized the importance of returning to their traditional playing roots:

• Better communication
• Midfield control

“If we don’t perform well on Wednesday, we don’t deserve to continue in this tournament. We have to be brave and ruthless,” added Stanway.

England will be eliminated from Euro 2025 if they lose to Netherlands and France defeats Wales in the other match.
